Hope.

Small word. Big meaning.

What does hope mean for you? What do you feel when you have hope? What do you feel when hope is gone, lost, absent from your life?

This word – HOPE – has been showing up in my life a lot lately. It was the basis of several conversations I’ve had with different people, it is becoming the key outcome and starting point for my programs and book, and it was even the topic at church this morning. No coincidence that it is showing up all over the place. Everywhere I look there is something reminding me about hope.

I remember how it was when I didn’t have any hope. I know what it’s like to not be able to see a future of happiness and love. I understand how lonely life is without hope. Thankfully, now I am able to share hope with others, and get them to find it within themselves as well.

To me, hope means having something to live for. It means having something to strive for and work towards. It means there is something better than where you are in this present moment. Hope is the power to change your situation. I say a lot “you are not your circumstances, they do not define you,” and this is true – I believe that. However, when you have hope, you have the opportunity to change how you react to your circumstances, and that in turn changes the outcome, which changes your situation.

Without hope, you cannot see a better place. Without hope, there’s no reason, no purpose. Without hope there’s nothing and you will not move forward.

Hope is powerful!

If you are struggling in your life right now, I invite you to ask yourself if you have hope. The dictionary defines hope as “the feeling that what is wanted can be had or that events will turn out for the best.” Do you believe there is something better? Do you have a vision of what your life could be like? Do you have the desire to want to change your situation?

If you answered yes to any of the above questions – good for you! You obviously are on the right path, claiming your hope (no matter how small or how big that glimmer is – the more you have hope, the stronger it gets until it covers you in light). If you find yourself without hope, that’s okay too – there’s no judgement – but ask yourself this: what is holding you back from having hope? How can you find it? Who can you surround yourself with; who will support you? What are you afraid of? Know this: whatever fear you are facing, whatever your circumstances, they do not define you – you are good enough. You are worth being here, to love and be loved.

My wish for today, and tomorrow, and the next day… my hope… is that everyone finds and claims their own hope. Imagine if everyone on this earth had a vision of happiness and love. What a beautiful, peaceful, loving place it would be. My hope is that you know – in the depths of your heart – that you are worth it. You are good enough. You are loved. You have hope.

With love & mommy hugs.
